Local business woman making waves in Queensland and abroad
Local Mackay business woman Luana Royle has been nominated for 100 Faces of Small Business, as part of the Queensland Small Business Week 2018 Celebrations.
Ms Royle runs Rainforest Scuba,a unique diving company in Finch Hatton, which was formed in 2012.
If successful, Ms Royle will feature as part of a showcase during Small Business Week 2018, be part of a digital gallery on Business Queensland, have her business profiled at a range of events, and receive a selection of high quality photos, video and website content to use to promote her business.
Ms Royle has also been selected from thousands of applications to attend the European Product Workshop (EPW) 2018.
The event will run from 19 to 21 March, showcasing Australian and New Zealand operators and tourism organisations who will meet with key buyers from the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
The event also provides a forum for export-ready products to attend a market briefing to assist with product development, conduct workshop appointments with product managers from key wholesaler/tour operators who actively sell both destinations and establish beneficial industry relationships.
Ms Royle said the event will also provide her with opportunities to link up with key media including tv, bloggers, social media influencers and journalists from newspapers and magazines that could promote her business and the region.
Rainforest Scuba offers eco-friendly diving experiences, as well as land tours around The Mackay Region and has won several tourism awards, as well as being showcased on The Living Room, Queensland Weekender, The Project and documentaries in Japan and South America.
