Tool Kit Launched to Support Businesses and Events
Mackay Tourism has launched a new Regional Tool Kit aimed at assisting local businesses and event organisers. The new tool kit helps increase destination brand awareness at events in The Mackay Region and can be used for consumer event marketing and merchandise by event publicists and organisers.
The new tool kit includes such features as the 2019 Mackay Region Events Calendar, industry resources for event organisers, the Business Events Brochure, grant information, research and insights, and access to event branding and destination imagery.
Providing testament to the importance of a tool kit for event organisations is Leanne Williams, one of the Event Organisers for the recent Mackay Human Powered Vehicle STEM Challenge.
“The previous event tool kit available from Mackay Tourism provided a whole range of useful information, all very helpful in ensuring a successful 2019 Mackay Human Powered Vehicle STEM Challenge,” she said.
“As an event organiser, it is very important to have a one stop shop for event information, and to have an avenue to access high quality regional branding at any time, free of charge.”
Ms Williams continued, “the 2019 Mackay Human Powered Vehicle STEM Challenge was a big success, and I’m confident with the resources available from Mackay Tourism, future events across the region can replicate this success.”
General Manager Tas Webber said the new tool kit is a handy tool for event organisations and businesses.
“Mackay Tourism’s Regional Tool Kit is packed full of useful information and resources,” he said.
“Interested parties will have access to vital information that can assist any Mackay Region event or promotion. Whether it be a high-resolution picture of the iconic Sunrise Wallaby Experience, information on risk management for events, or the latest research and analysis on visitation to The Mackay Region – the new tool kit contains all this and much more!”
