2025 Mackay Isaac Tourism Awards

Tourism plays a pivotal role in the Mackay Isaac region, not only by driving economic growth but by sharing our unique natural beauty, culture, and experiences with visitors from all corners of the country.

The Mackay Isaac Tourism (MIT) Awards for Excellence Program showcases the outstanding achievements of our region’s tourism operators, individuals and volunteers, that continue to contribute to making the Mackay Isaac region a must-visit destination in Queensland.

Winners and finalists are announced at the industry’s night of nights – the annual Mackay Isaac Tourism Awards Gala Dinner on Friday, 31st October 2025.

• Nominations open: 9am Wednesday, 23 April 2025
• Online Nominations Briefing: 9am Friday, 9 May 2025
• Nominations close: 5pm Sunday, 15 June 2025
• Submission Writing Masterclass: Early July 2025
• Submissions close: 5pm Friday, 15 August 2025
• Mackay Isaac Tourism Awards Gala Dinner: Friday, 31st October 2025

Steps to enter:

1. Nominate your business: Nominating is a quick and easy process and ensures that you’re in the running to later complete a submission. Nominate via the Quality Tourism Framework online portal. Mackay Isaac Tourism have aligned their categories and criteria with the Queensland State Awards, making it easier for members to apply for both awards programs at the time of nomination.
2. Prepare your submission: Create a timeline for your submission and start early, as the process is extensive and requires careful research. Take advantage of MIT's and QTIC’s various entrant support services and utilise the Online Award Portal to save your submission progress at any time. Don’t forget to download and read the Rules for Entry before completing your submission.
3. Submit your submission: Login to the Online Awards Portal using the details you created when nominating and finalise your submission by the due date. Please download and read the Rules for Entry before completing your submission.
