Holden to drive Mackay’s tourism industry with new advertising
A variety of locations in The Mackay Region have been used to promote Holden Australia’s new line of Commodore, Colorado and Ute ranges, depicting Mackay as the ultimate car lovers’ playground.
Popular spots like the Eungella Range and Eungella Chalet, the Pioneer Valley’s winding roads and cane fields, Cape Hillsborough, the Northern Beaches, and even the Marian Mill feature on the new advertising.
The filming came on the back of the Australia Fishing Championships (AFC) being hosted in the region, with producers Marine Media Group seeing the region as the perfect backdrop to promote the new line of cars.
General Manager of Mackay Tourism said it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the versatility and opportunities in The Mackay Region.
“This is fantastic exposure on a national level through a national brand and that has been the advantage of working with stakeholders like Marine Media Group,” Mr Webber said.
“It’s a match made in heaven – the iconic Aussie brand of Holden showcased in a nature-based location like Mackay.”
Photos and videos of Holden Australia’s spectacular outback four-wheel drive adventures, rocky terrain, creek crossings and beach adventures in The Mackay Region are shown on Holden Australia’s website.
