Mount Britton Campground was a pioneer gold mining town in 1880s, and can be found in the Isaac region. In early 1881, gold was discovered in nearby Oaky Creek and news spread like wildfire. Within days, a bustling tent town appeared amongst the scrublands beside the creek as hopeful prospectors flocked to the area in search of fortune.

Mount Britton Campground is nestled amongst magnificent mountain scenery, the historic town site is a must-visit destination for history lovers, adventures and nature enthusiasts alike.

Mount Britton Campground is located approximately 35 minutes North of Nebo along the Peak Downs Highway before turning West towards Collinsville, Continue 11.2km before turning right onto the Turrawulla Road. Here you can camping under the stars and explore the remains of this once bustling settlement, soak in the peaceful bush settings.
