The Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre has now been stocked with a wide selection of postcards, key chains and collectables, all showcasing the regions beauty.

Several artworks and from talented local artists are also available for purchase.   As are a selection of Mackay Region branded clothing, jewelry, books and toys that sure to prove popular with visitors and locals alike.

One of the local businesses benefiting from the Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre is Stomping Elephants.

Stomping Elephants is a local business that handmakes fun, affordable and unique earrings, including a range that features Australian icons and animals.

Stomping Elephants Owner Abby Walsh said the new Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre has opened doors for her business.

"With its prime location on the Bruce Highway, the Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre is sure to attract thousands of visitors a year".

 "I'm excited to have our earrings on display in the new centre because it means we can reach a wider audience of tourists visiting our region, which will play a part in the growth of my business."

The new Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre is open 7 days a week and is located at the Sarina Field of Dreams Parklands.
